Tech-K
Can the right typeface save lives? With the TECH-K project, we were looking for the answer.
In industrial safety, design is not about aesthetics. Instead, it’s about order, clarity, and the elimination of errors. This project was created for a company specializing in machine certification and safety. Previously, in collaboration with Art4web, we developed a logo for TECH-K. At Studio Stopa, we decided to take this project further and explore it in depth. This is our vision of a visual identity that speaks the language of engineers.
The Challenge
TECH-K works with the largest industrial companies in Slovakia — Volkswagen, Samsung, Porsche, and Amazon. Their clients are engineers, safety technicians, and project managers. Therefore, the visual identity had to communicate precision, credibility, and expertise — without unnecessary decorative noise. Furthermore, the brand had to hold up in technical presentations, certification documents, and at conferences. However, it needed to feel modern and professional — inspiring confidence in clients like Volkswagen or Porsche at first glance.
The Solution
We designed a system built on three pillars. First, visual hierarchy driven by data and precision — every element has its place and function, so nothing is accidental. Additionally, technical typography is stripped of unnecessary noise. Type works as a tool, but not as an ornament. As a result, the system is designed to support safety and functional excellence. Finally, colors, shapes, and layout all stem from the logic of technical documentation.
The Result
The TECH-K visual identity is consistent across all formats — from digital presentations to printed manuals and certification documents. In other words, a design that doesn’t stand out at first glance, but works where it matters most.
The identity reflects the company’s values — precision, reliability, and expertise that TECH-K demonstrates daily in its work for global brands. Moreover, the visual system is not just about how the company looks. It’s also about how it communicates — clearly, comprehensibly, and without room for error. Because in industrial safety, every detail matters. And yet, good design knows that — even when you can’t see it.
Design as a process, not just decoration.
